How about when someone says they think something is pretty and you disagree, you DO NOT say, “Not really” but instead say, “It’s not my taste but I can see why you’d like it” or anything nice. Because I’m sorry but when I say I like a picture or a piece of clothing and all you say is “not really”, it kind of feels like you’re trying to say your opinion is right and mine is wrong because it’s not up to your standards.
